Silence on persecution of Uighurs in China by Muslim countries giving knowledge to India, distance from voting in UN

UNHRC Voting: In August a report by the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet was released. He expressed concern over the condition of Uighur Muslims in Xinjiang, China.

The draft resolution was brought to the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) in the debate on human rights in the Xinjiang province of China. While 17 countries agreed to the debate on this proposal brought by the Western countries, 19 refused. Along with this, there were 11 countries including India, which were missing from voting. The special thing is that in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, the name of the countries that have been raising questions about this issue in India are included in the denial of life against China on human rights

Islamic countries that have raised questions about India
According to a report published in January in The Express Tribune, Pakistan's Foreign Office had backed Genocide Watch's warning about the killing of Muslims in India. The office said the warnings were based on data drawn from a scientific model of 10 stages of genocide. The then spokesperson Asim Iftikhar had said that according to this model, India had passed all the 10 stages. At the same time, he had expressed concern over the safety of more than 200 million population of Muslims living in India.

Apart from this, many Islamic countries objected to the objectionable comments made by the former spokesperson of the Bharatiya Janata Party. These include the names of Iran, Kuwait, and Qatar. These countries had formally lodged complaints with India. The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), a grouping of 57 countries, had called on India to stop the growing hatred and humiliation towards Islam and systematic practices against Indian Muslims.

The recent concern of Uighur Muslims in the UN report
was released in August by Michelle Bachelet, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights. He expressed concern over the condition of Uighur Muslims in Xinjiang, China. There were reports that efforts were also made by Beijing to block the report. He had said in the report that the persecution by the Chinese government could amount to a crime against humanity. The report mentioned many things including forced detention, rape, torture, and forced labor.

Pakistan's double face Pakistan
, talking in favor of Muslims, appeared in a different tone about Xinjiang in the UNHRC. A statement issued by the Ambassador of Pakistan said that Pakistan appreciates the efforts being made by China for socio-economic development, goodwill, peace, and stability in Xinjiang. The special thing is that 12 out of 17 countries of the OIC were in favor of China. Somalia was the only country that was in favor of the debate on the situation in Xinjiang.
